The morning sun was just starting to lurk over the towers of Castle Flipside. All its guests were sleeping soundly; except for one unlucky bunny…

"Wake up! Come on, kid, wake up!" growled a male voice.
Matthew opened his eyes slowly and went crossed eyed, staring at the tooth necklace dangling in front of his face. Eyes hurting, he closed them again.
"Ugh…five more minutes, Vince, please…" he groaned.
The next moment he felt a hard slap against his face. The little fox boy sat bolt right up in bed, clutching the side of his face.
"That's for not getting up when I tell you to," Vincent growled, lowering his hand again.
"That wasn't very nice, you know," piped up a gentle voice from the other side of the Hearts' bedroom.
Vincent turned around to face Jenny.
"Yeah well deal with it. I don't want to be late to the new event today." He mumbled, forcing on his shirt.
A sigh came from the back of the room. Marsha was sitting in the foetal position, staring out of the heart shaped window.
"Something to add, Marsha?" Ghostly asked, slightly muffled behind his mask.
She shook her head. Matthew groaned and slid out of bed and sat on it. He reached down and grabbed his suitcase from under his bed and pulled out the first thing that came into contact with his hand. To his disgust, he pulled out a green tank top.
"I thought we fixed that wardrobe chaos last month!" he groaned, throwing it carelessly behind him.
Vincent sighed and picked up the top and shoved it into his jeans pocket without another word. After Matthew finally wrangled his favourite yellow top out of his suitcase, the five of them headed out into the front hall. Most of the other guests of Flipside were already there, all mumbling in excitement about the new event that was to be announced to them. The last two events had been improvised; just meeting new friends and, to everyone's dismay, sorting out the mixed up clothes. Hopefully this event would be something productive, was what was on everyone's mind.
Then the house leaders started walking down the steps from the main tower. But something didn't seem right…there were only three of them.
Scarlet, Castle Flipside's host, followed after them with her cape billowing behind her. She was looking quite flushed, but not like she'd just had an attempt of magic go wrong again; something just didn't add up here…
"Oh, my beloved guests!" she addressed everyone, throwing her arms up in her over dramatic welcoming pose she did, "I unfortunately have a bit of bad news and, well… I need your help."
Everyone went deadly silent.
"As you can see, it would appear that one of our leaders is missing," she guested to the three bunny hybrids in front of her, a few steps down, "he's a little under the weather, and is refusing any type of help coming his way, and I can't have my little bun buns staying sick."
One particular grouping of guests gasped. It seems the Diamonds finally figured out that their leader was the one missing.
"So I was hoping maybe some of you could help him? Maybe you know some sort of remedy or you can persuade him to seek help."
"Why don't you just use your magic?" a ditsy male voice called out.
Scarlet sighed heavily, "I would use magic to try and help, Terian, but I fear I might make things worse…"
"Pfft! Amen to that…" Matthew grumbled.
"The leader in question is Alex, but be warned; he's a little moody, even more so when he's sick. But I'm sure you can handle him…!" Scarlet scanned the crowd of guests, but lingered a little on the Diamonds, who were looking frightfully worried for their leader. She grinned a little and gave them the thumbs up.
"He's sulking around the castle somewhere; I'm sure he'll be easy to find. Please do your best, I'm counting on you." And with that, she disappeared in a cloud of white rabbits. They scurried down the steps, upsetting the guests by tripping them up.
While the three leaders and everyone else was busy dealing with the rabbit flood, a few guests decided to head off early to find the sick Diamond leader.
Matthew thought he'd be the one to find him first, as he was the quickest out of everyone, but he wasn't really going to get anywhere if he didn't know how to cure Alex. But just at that moment he saw a figure sulking in a corner. Thinking it was Alex, he raced up to him immediately.
"Hey Alex are you alr-ah!" he yelped, jumping back.
"Sorry to startle you…" sighed Melody.
Matthew backed slowly away, trying not to make eye contact with the vampire girl.
"I heard about Alex, is his alright?" she asked casually.
"Uh…don't think so. I'm trying to find him to help him."
"I'd like to help out as well, but I fear that…never mind…"
"G-go on." Matthew urged.
"…leave me, please…"
'With pleasure, leech!' he thought, racing away again.

Meanwhile one of the more level-headed guests had done the right thing and went to the main tower first to look for Alex. Monday banged on the door with the big red diamond shape hard with her fist.
"Come on, Alex! I know you're in there, open up!" she called.
She waited, but there was no answer. She rested her forehead on the door and let her hand circle the doorknob.
"Come on Alex…I just want to help…" she sighed.
Suddenly the door clicked and Monday jumped back. She watched as it opened slightly, and a black ear poked through the crack, then the rest of the leader's face was shown. Alex looked at her with a half closed eye, as his right eye was covered with an eye patch, and sighed groggily, "Monday, is it?"
She nodded.
"Just leave me alone…"
Before he could shut the door again, Monday stuck her foot between the door and the wall to prevent it from closing.
"Please, Alex, I know a bit about medicine, let me help you." She pleaded softly.
"No thanks, I'll be fine…"
Monday sighed and removed her foot from the door. Alex slammed the door in her face and she walked back down the stairs, feeling defeated.
As she trudged down the stairs, the Diamonds, Lucky, Almirah, Calamity and Terian, rushed past her.
"Is Alex in his room?" Lucky asked, panting.
"Yeah, didn't accept my help though."
"Oh well, but thanks for trying!" Calamity called, shooting up the stairs in front of everyone else.
"Hows the rabbit problem?" Monday asked casually.
"I think Sydney managed to scare them off with her noisy boots." Terian laughed.
Suddenly Alex's door burst open and two blurs, one purple the other black, raced down the stairs past the others.
"How the hell would a bloody top hat make me feel better?!" Alex shouted.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Calamity cried, trying to escape Alex's clutches.
"Ooo! That looks like fun!" Terian said, running off after Alex.
Monday rolled her eyes, "Oh Terian…"
"You don't have to sleep in the same room as him." Almirah groaned.
"Oh come on! He's not that bad!" Lucky protested.
"He thought you were an oversized pillow for heaven's sake!" Almirah threw her arms up in the arm.
"So? It was that one time!"
The two girls walked back down the stairs, arguing at each other. Monday decided it was best to just head back to the Clubs' tower and stay there for…a while…

After chasing Calamity through the castle for trying to force a top hat onto him, he began to sulk back to his room, hoping no one else would come looking for him. Little did he know that Vincent was just around the corner. He swiftly walked in front of him and placed one hand on the wall, blocking his path.
"Please…just let me pass…" Alex groaned.
"Nuh uh! Not until you try my special cure." Vincent smiled.
"And what would be this special cure?" Alex sighed.
From what seemed from out of nowhere, Vincent held up a small steaming cup.
"Tea."
"Tea?! I'm not drinking any tea!" Alex shouted.
"Calm ya farm! It's just tea!"
"Yeah well I don't want your tea!"
With his other hand, Vincent grabbed Alex's jaw and squinted at him.
"Drink it, or else." He growled.
"…o-or else what?"
Without any answer, Vincent forced the drink down poor Alex's throat.
"Swallow it."
Alex begrudgingly swallowed the brew, hacking slightly at the heat of it. Vincent patted him on the back firmly.
"Good boy! You can go now!"
"Ugh…"
Alex pushed past Vincent and continued to trudge onwards. The tea wasn't really agreeing with him, and his stomach was growling madly. He then remembered it was because he hadn't really eaten anything since he'd fallen ill. But whatever had made him sick, he was hoping it would be over soon.
As he began to climb the stairs to the main tower again, his head began to feel a litter lighter than what it was before. Before he knew it, everything in his world went black.

"Well, well; looks like grumpy old Ally needed my help." Came a smooth voice.
Alex opened his eyes slowly.
"Ugh…don't call me that…and I don't need help… Wait…where am I?"
The person didn't answer, just giggled. He opened his eyes and saw Almirah kneeling in front of him. Alex looked down at himself and found that he was wrapped tight in a blue blanket. He couldn't figure out the yellow pattern on it though, his single eyesight was still too blurry.
"So you're saying you would have preferred to stay passed out on the floor then?" she grinned.
Alex grumbled, "Maybe if every person and their dog in this castle weren't trying to hunt me down I wouldn't be so overtired..." he sniffled slightly.
"Hmmm…" Almirah grinned, "I think you're secretly enjoying all this attention."
"No! I'm really not!" he shouted.
"Now, now, don't lose your temper…you should be relaxing."
"How am I meant to relax with these stupid ducks on me?!" Alex had just figured out the pattern on the blanket he was wrapped in.
"I think they quite suit your temperament." Almirah giggled.
"That's it!" Get this thing off me!" Alex growled, tearing at the blanket.
He managed to struggle out of it and sat on his bed. He didn't even want to know how Almirah had dragged him to his room.
"Well I guess if you don't wish to wear it then I can always find another way to warm you up..." she purred.
Alex's eye dialated. He stared at her in horror.
"...you're blushing Ally…" she giggled.
"It's a fever!!!" he shouted.
Almirah just giggled and left his room. As she shut the door she bumped into Scarlet.
"Oh, Almirah! I heard shouting coming from Alex's room; is he alright?" she fretted.
"Don't worry, Scarlet! He's fine!" Almirah laughed, before walking back down the stairs.
Just to make sure, Scarlet poked her head in the door.
"Alex…?"
"Go away!!" he yelled.
Scarlet ducked as the blue ducky blanket was thrown at her. She quickly picked it up and threw it back in his room and shut the door. She sighed and walked off.
